All dancers who are registered for the full weekend are guaranteed entry. Due to fire capacity codes, there will only be a limited number of tickets sold at the door for those who have not registered for the full weekend.

Dance: Saturday Afternoon, 20 April 2012

Time: 1 pm – 5 pm

Location: U Street/African-American Civil War Memorial, U St. and Vermont Ave., NW, Washington, D.C.

Music: DJ

Cost: Free!

We know you’re tired from our awesome Friday night line-up. Get yourself out of bed anyway – this is your chance to lindy in the neighborhood where Duke Ellington grew up. Other reasons this dance is awesome: a smooth stone dance surface; plenty of places to eat nearby, including the famous Ben’s Chili Bowl; and lots of confused Metro riders trying to figure out why people are dancing at the top of the station escalator.

A note about safety: Lindy hop is a beautiful thing, but it does not have protective powers. While our outdoor events are in safe neighborhoods, it’s not a good idea to leave valuables unattended while you dance. People have had items stolen in the past; leave anything you don’t need at home and keep what you do need on your person.

Rain site: Just in case Mother Nature decides to send some rain our way, we’ll move the party over to the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo, MD. We will post any announcements about change of venue on our website.

Dance: Saturday Main Dance

Time: 8 pm – 9 pm (beginner swing lesson with paid admission to dance);  9 pm – 12.30 am (dance)

Location: Spanish Ballroom, Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo, MD 20812

Music: Triple Treat Party featuring Bria Skonberg’s Hot Five, the Blue Crescent Syncopators, and The Boilermaker Jazz Band!

Cost: $20

Three amazing bands will fill the stage at the Spanish Ballroom to bring another historic night of dancing bliss! The Blue Crescent Syncopators and the Boilermakers Jazz Band are DCLX veterans.  Will Bria Skonberg’s DCLX debut win over your feet? You gotta check it out.  Three bands.  One stage.  All awesome. You don’t want to be waiting on the queue outside the Spanish Ballroom while these bands are playing.

Note: Car pooling is highly encouraged.  Parking will be tight.  We recommend coming early if you plan on buying tickets at the door.

Dance: Saturday late night

Time: 1 am – 5 am. Band starts at 1.30 am.

Location: Chevy Chase Ballroom and Joy of Motion Dance Center, 5207 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington D.C., 20015

Music: Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, DJ

Cost: $18

So you’ve just survived the triple threat of Bria, Blue Crescent, and Boilermakers.  Where do you go to next?  You get the clean up hitter, Meschiya Lake! She’s so good, you get to hear her twice. Our talented DJs will bring some blues to your soul at the Joy of Motion, which is just across the hall.

All dancers who are registered for the full weekend are guaranteed entry. Due to fire capacity codes, there will only be a limited number of tickets sold at the door for those who have not registered for the full weekend.

Dance: Sunday Afternoon, 21 April 2013

Time: 1 pm – 5 pm

Location: Dupont Circle, Washington D.C.

Music: Bitter Dose Combo, DJ

Cost: Free!

It doesn’t get more D.C. than Dupont Circle. OK, maybe it does, but they wouldn’t let us hold a dance under the Capitol rotunda. With its plethora of leafy trees, restaurants and hipsters, Dupont Circle is a great place to unwind with some casual DJ dancing prior to the final blowout of the weekend.  Oh wait.  We also have the Bitter Dose Combo to add to the hipster-fest!

Rain site: Just in case Mother Nature decides to send some rain our way, we’ll move the party over to the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo, MD. We will post any announcements about change of venue on our website.

Dance: Sunday closing dance

Time: 9 pm – 2 am

Location: Colvin Run, 10201 Colvin Run Road, Great Falls, Virginia 22066

Music: Jason Prover and the Sneak Thievery Orchestra, DJ

Cost: $20

All good things must come to an end, so we’ll leave it with a bang! Jason Prover and the Sneak Thievery Orchestra will take us home as they make their DCLX debut.
